The mobile lab was installed in Thies on 02/03/2021. It is an ultra secure P3 lab for the manipulation of viruses. It allows to protect both the operator and the surrounding population thanks to a tightness of the enclosure, a depression of the premises (avoiding any leakage towards the outside) and a filtration of the rejected air.
Its main characteristics are :
– controlled access airlocks with pressure cascades,
– an ergonomic and durable environment facilitating the work of the operators and guaranteeing a high level of safety,
– basic safety equipment including the essential elements (such as safety showers, double-entry autoclave, microbiological safety station…)
– METROLOGY, remote monitoring…
